Port Chicago Weekend

Port Chicago Weekend is an annual public history initiative presented by the Port Chicago Alliance, bringing the Bay Area together to honor the Port Chicago Sailors and their pivotal role in World War II and the civil rights movement.

Through commemorations, film screenings, exhibits, ship tours, and other community events, the weekend invites the public to explore, reflect, and engage with one of the most significant yet often overlooked stories in American history.
